Dayton Physicians Network is proud to announce we are partnering with Zero for the second annual ZERO- The End of Prostate Cancer 5K run/walk in Dayton, Ohio. We are joining over 42 other events in an effort to achieve generation zero- the first generation without prostate cancer.
Dayton Physicians Network – Greater Dayton Cancer Center
3120 Governor’s Place Blvd. Kettering, OH 45409
The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk – Dayton features a 5K run/walk, 1 mile walk, Kids’ Superhero Dash for Dad, and virtual Snooze for Dudes program. Stick around for the family-friendly post-race celebration. Participants will receive a shirt, free food, and the opportunity to connect with others who are impacted by prostate cancer.
One in eight American men will get prostate cancer during his lifetime. It’s the third leading cancer cause of death in men: each year 26,730 men die from the disease. Imagine a future with zero prostate cancer deaths and an end to pain and suffering. Our vision is Generation ZERO – the first generation of men free from prostate cancer. It starts with a 5k run or one-mile walk.
By partnering with Zero we receive part of the money raised, to help people in our own community! The funds we raised from last year’s race went to Maple Tree Cancer Alliance for an exercise program, local hospital foundations and local cancer foundations for copay assistance and grants, and new patient education materials. This year we want to raise enough to continue these programs and look at new ways to help even more men in the Miami Valley. With your help, we will be able to keep funding these programs and giving patients a better quality of life.
