Dayton Physicians Network Staff, Patients, Family and Friends Make a Real Difference at Miami County Relay for Life
We are proud to say that many of our staff, patients, friends and family came out to support the Miami County Relay for life May 6th-7th.
DPN was happy to sponsor the walk thru colon and the Miami County RFL, however; the real stars are –Team DP Curesader whom together, raised over $2,700 this calendar year to date.
One of the team superheroes is our own Robin Hetzler; a medical oncology nurse in the Troy office was also Survivor Chair for the Miami County RFL overall event. Robin and her team secured and provided an incredible survivor dinner and lots of fun for 426 survivors and caregivers!
Robin wanted to point out some people for their commitment and dedication to the event and the cancer patients they support.
Starting out with DP Curesaders’ mascot Jake Hetzler is a Piqua High Senior that has chosen to help lead the fight against cancer.
Special thanks to: Jenifer Hensley DP Curesader team captain, Amber Scott, Becky Childers, Chrissy Kenton, Brenda Thorton, Kari Foster and her spouse, Tessa Meyer and her spouse, Jackie Holfinger, Kathy Kuhns for helping setup Thursday Night and work during the relay. Thank you also to Becky Childers for capturing priceless memories on film.
Super heroes one and all! Thanks for all you do!
Great pictures!

A picture of 2 made up super heroes. Robin has a patient that has shared with me her journey looking for “Ned” (No evidence of disease). Her story of her ongoing search for Ned inspired the creation of the 2 super heroes. The hero on the right is “Ned” (no evidence of disease). Ned is holding this super power of “Hope” which turns out to be the villain “Cancer” s Kryptonite! Every super hero has a side kick. Ned’s sidekick is names HOPE!
