Updated and newly redesigned resources for patients with prostate cancer.

This National Comprehensive Cancer Network patient resource is based on the 20th annual edition NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology for prostate cancer. This patient resource includes important changes in the workup and treatment of prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer in men. The American Cancer Society estimates there will be 220,800 new cases in 2015 and 27,540 deaths from the disease. The world-wide medical community continues to work towards decreasing those numbers. New tests and treatments are now available or are being tested.
